Ducks & Geese

Altcar Estate is situated centrally on this migration path for pink footed geese with some canadas and greylags who also enjoy feeding on the land as the fields are used for the arable farming of potatoes, barley and other crops. Ducks available are mainly mallards, with some teal, widgeon and pintails.
